Tapestry Hall Wedding Inspiration

It all started with a brand new venue, quite unlike any other. Tapestry Hall in Cambridge, Ontario welcomes guests with a living art installation that reacts via sensors in a nearby river. This meticulously restored venue, set in a 19th-century building, is the perfect backdrop for a modern love story to unfold. If you are thinking about a Tapestry Hall wedding, this blog post is going to give you all the inspo!

When designing this shoot we wanted to marry the industrial and historic vibes of the venue with a classic-made-modern twist. The venue has many unique installations and focal points, so we wanted to keep our design minimalist and clean. Fresh Look Design and I joined forced to dream up the perfect plan for a micro-wedding at Tapestry Hall and then we dove in to bring the vision to life!

Bringing the Vision to Life

We assembled a dream team of vendors to help us create a styled shoot of epic proportions. Usually, for a styled shoot we like to set up one table for 6-8 guests. This time we went big and set the space for 50 guests! We chose velvet, crystal and acrylic elements that would compliment the perfectly restored industrial character of the space.  FLD created a mixture of high and low floral arrangements for the guest tables. We also created a custom harlow stand for the head table! The tablescape elements were curated from Event Rental Group and W Events and Decor

The stationery, expertly designed by Red Bicycle Paper Co., featured monochrome textures and elements while playing off of the iron “plaid” feature wall inside the venue’s main room. Also incorporating modern textures and monochrome colours was the beautiful three-tiered wedding cake created by Too Nice to Slice. The delicious and beautiful guest favours were provided by The Paper Shoppe.

Our lovely bride wore a fitted gown with a modern bridal cape, by Jennie Ross Bridal, which was the perfect fit for this contemporary love affair. Her hair was styled to perfection by Hair by Dayna and her glam makeup, by Mood Beauty Bridal, completed the look. She wore rings from Arsaeus Designs and earrings from Sfara Designs.  Dressed in a formal tuxedo from Collins Formalwear, our groom was ready for the big day!

Ariana Del Mundo and Beau Films captured this ultra-modern shoot perfectly!
