So you’re newly engaged and eager to start your planning journey! Where do you even begin? The search for finding your picture-perfect venue can be tedious and overwhelming, so I’ve put together a list of some of the best wedding venues in Kitchener-Waterloo (and surrounding areas!).
Before we get to the good stuff, here’s a fun fact for you: more than 50% of our wedding clients come from out of town! It’s very common for couples from Toronto or London to get married in the Tri-Cities area. So even if you aren’t local, this list of wedding venues in Kitchener-Waterloo might just convince you to take a day-trip for some tours!
The Walper Hotel is one of my favourite wedding venues for so many reasons. First of all, it’s located right downtown Kitchener (#dtklove) which means it is close to parking, restaurants, bars and accommodations. Second of all, when it comes to customer service, it is hard to beat The Walper. Their planning team goes above and beyond to accommodate their couples (and vendors!) and it is clear The Walper team loves what they do! The food is amazing, the drinks are next level (you get two separate tastings – menu & cocktail), and don’t even get me started on the interior design.
Another venue committed to exceptional service, Langdon Hall Country Club and Spa is hard to beat! This historical venue is tucked away on the outskirts of Galt and is an amazing option for couples who are looking for something with that timeless classic vibe. The orchards or summer house are both beautiful ceremony locations and their reception spaces are filled with evening light and elegance!
Langdon Hall is also an amazing location to book for wedding accommodations. The rooms are beautiful and large, so they make wonderful getting ready locations. You can read more about what makes for a great getting ready location here.
If you are touring wedding venues in Kitchener-Waterloo, Langdon Hall is an absolute must-see!
This venue is brand new and full of modern-industrial charm. Storehouse 408 has a huge patio/ceremony space (with a fireplace), a statement brick wall, a beautiful bridal suite and LOTS of space to dance the night away.
One of our favourite things about this venue is that you can select your own caterer from their recommended list! This gives you space to create a menu that’s perfect for you. This open-concept venue is the perfect space for any couple who is looking for that relaxed and modern vibe.
Fun fact: it used to be a beer store!
Even though it’s located in St. Jacobs, Cellar 52 still makes the list of favourite wedding venues in Kitchener-Waterloo. While there is certainly space for some ceremonies inside, I love seeing couples walk down the aisle outside on the patio (or down by the river!). The patio is also an amazing location for cocktail hour, first dances, and late-night chats. This venue has FOUR fireplaces to help ensure your ambiance is on point and might even keep you warm enough to say “I Do” outside in the winter. If that isn’t enough to convince you to stop by, they also have TWO getting ready areas! Each has a private bathroom and plenty of space to get ready – so you don’t have to stress about finding the perfect getting ready location.
If the industrial charm doesn’t blow you away, the food will! Mmm mmm mmm! The owners, Barry and Taryn, do such an amazing job taking care of their guests and it is clear to see they love their work!
Located right downtown Galt, there are lots of nearby parking lots and hotels. You are also walking distance from Mill Race Park and Brantview Apple Orchards, which make beautiful outdoor ceremony locations!
If you are hosting a wedding for 110 or less – you need to check out EVO Kitchen.
Apple Orchards are beautiful all year round, but if you time it properly and end up tying the knot during bloom season, you are really in for a treat! Brantview Apple Orchard offers on site ceremonies as well as cocktail hour and reception!
