I’m going to cut to the chase. If you are planning a wedding right now, you need a website. It’s also a good idea to use a platform that can also send digital media (save the dates, invites, updates, thank you’s etc.)! There are a lot of options out there, but today I am dishing on some of my favourite wedding website platforms!
Before we dive in, there are a few things to consider. A good wedding website platform should be intuitive to use, easy to update and aesthetically pleasing. At a minimum, you will want your website to collect (and export) RSVP data. Other features to consider are whether you can send invites, emails or other important updates. We will often use these features to update guests around things like shuttles, overnight parking, accommodations or (*cringe*) postponements.
AppyCouple is one of our favourite wedding website platforms because it can do all of the things. Save-the-dates? Yep! Invites? Yep! Limit the number of guests per group? Yep! You can also add guests to the ceremony only – which is great if you have guests who will only be joining virtually for this portion of the event!
Wedsites is another fantastic option when it comes to wedding websites. They have a slightly smaller template library, but I am so obsessed with their more modern designs!
Greenvelope is on our list of favourite wedding website platforms for so many reasons! They have an extensive design library, not just for weddings, but for other events as well! The downside here is that they don’t have a full website available at this time.
Other honourable mentions go to With Joy, WeddingWire and The Knot! With so many options available, it’s a good idea to spend some time thinking about what your priorities for a website are! Do you expect you will have a lot of food allergies? Ensure your platform can track that information! Think you might need to postpone? Make sure your platform can send updates!
